LEGO KidsFest brings all of the creative hands-on, minds-on fun of LEGO building and experiences together in one activity and entertainment-packed family event for children of all ages and builders of all skills and interests. LEGO KidsFest recently debuted in Kansas City for the first time.
Unfortunately I was unable to attend so I sent one of my trusty contributors (Danielle B.) with her 3 kiddos to check out what all the hype was about. (Thank you Danielle!) Here's how it all went down.
(Me) How would you describe your childs excitement leading up to the event? (Danielle) They were super excited for the LEGO KidsFest event. Asking everyday when we were going. They were excited to play and build with the Lego's as well as see some awesome models built by the professionals.
(Me) What activities did they offer?
(Danielle) Many many many Legos. The kids' favorite was the area with all the Legos on the ground to walk on and build with. It was a parents nightmare thinking about stepping on all the Legos. Ha-ha!
(Me) Did your girls partake in any activities?
(Danielle) They built a lot of things with the Legos that were available to play with. There was also a really fun race the kids participated in and they won a little Lego guy.
(Me) Were there any adult activities?
(Danielle) The event is very tailored for the kids, however we got to play and build with our kids.
(Me) What kinds of displays were there? What were your favorites?
(Danielle) There was a lot of very impressive Super Hero models that had been built and on display. The girls' favorite was The Hulk!
(Me) How was your over all experience for KC Lego KidsFest? Would you attend again if it was in your area and would you recommend it to friends?
(Danielle) It was a great time with the kiddos. They had a very fun night playing with all the Legos and seeing all the Super Hero's that had been built. We would definitely do it again and would recommend it to family and friends.
