Living in Iowa we don’t exactly make it to the ocean very often. Our kids have only seen the real thing once so far in their lifetime, however ever since they’ve been obsessed with all things under the sea since that vacation. After seeing the real thing, we’ve enjoyed the next best thing of going to aquariums during our travels to check out the exotic fish, sharks, rays and other creatures you just don’t find out here in corn and cow country.
One of our favorite family friendly travel locations and Midwest aquariums is the SEA LIFE Aquarium in Kansas City. Here’s a little bit about it.
SEA LIFE is a one-story 28,000 square-foot indoor Aquarium. This one-of-a-kind experience will get you up close and face-to-face with amazing underwater creatures such as sharks, stingrays, sea stars, sea horses, jellyfish and thousands of colorful fish! This fascinating underwater world is waiting for you to explore.
